The New Yorker
Tony Rodriguez worked with the New Yorker to create a portrait of Brian Wilson, in honor of the new film "Love & Mercy."
"My contribution to the June 8, 2015 issue of the New Yorker’s ‘current cinema’ revolves around a portrait of legendary Beach Boys frontman, Brian Wilson. “Love & Mercy” covers 2 specific time periods, the 1960s and the 1980s. The idea with this image was to convey a light and dark period in Brian Wilson’s life. Seeing as how Wilson is unveiling his story to the public, I chose to have him in a pose that was inviting to the viewer; to both (the dark and light) sides of his career." Tony Rodriguez
